Horizon Life Training are looking for an experienced support worker to work 20-30 hours a week(part-time).

The person must be able to lead by example providing care, planning, documentation and practical support. They must be able to be encouraging, with a positive risk-taking and person-centred approach. They will then in turn help deliver high-quality support which promotes independence, dignity and choice to men who have completed at least nine months in a Christian rehabilitation centre.

Charitable objectives:

1) The relief of the physical and mental sickness of persons in need by reason of addiction to drugs and alcohol, in particular, by the provision of counselling and support, and by the provision of facilities for work and recreation

2) To develop the capacity, skills and capabilities of such persons so that they are better able to identify and meet their own needs, and to participate more fully in society as mature and responsible individuals

3) The relief of financial hardship amongst such persons by providing them with accommodation and other goods or services which they could not otherwise attain through lack of means
